Surfing Paradise

Jen and I were left to our own devices today, since our hosts were both working. We had the use of Di's car, which was only sitting in the garage waiting to be sold, so we took ourselves off to Moffat Beach, with our beach-towels, sunnies and straw hats. We spent an hour or so browsing some nice boutique-y shops, stopped for a coffee and then kicked off our flip-flops as we made our way down to the near-empty beach. It was the first day with clear blue skies (yesterday was sporadically cloudy) so the sun was beating down on us and the handful of surfers and other beach-goers. The weather in these parts up until this week had apparently been a bit miserable and wet, so we certainly can't complain. The sea was warm and blue and the sand soft and yellow. I thought I should blip the view from my beach-towel. Not too shabby eh!

A late lunch followed before making our way home - to spend the last couple of hours of daylight sitting by the pool with ice-cold beers.

Off to the city tomorrow!
