Still in the box

Went to Mum's and cooked lunch there.
After lunch she said there were some of Dad's things that needed sorting out.
One of them was his camera - still in the box and absolutely pristine.
I was worried the battery may have leaked and done for the innards (he died in 1999) but when I slid the front aside the motor whirred and out popped the lens.
Had a bit of a lump in the throat after that.
