Swimming Against The Tide

Yummy Supper

Last night the Wonderspouse & I went to hear the LSO at the Barbican again (one of our moderately regular outings). The sparkling first half was Dvorak's Carnival Overture and Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Concerto and the profound second half was Brahms 4!

For reasons related to the Wonderspouse's writing career we were in Rough Trade records on Brick Lane before the show (they're currently stocking his book - Songs From The Other Side Of The Wall) and consequently were very close to a LOT of very delicious food!

So, despite a variety of cool shots of buildings, gates, doorways, graffiti, and Liverpool Street Station's roof, this picture of where we bought our supper won the day!

And so reasonably priced that the two of us were more than amply satisfied for £8! Bargain!

I commented to the Wonderspouse that I could live on the onion bhajis, they were so delicious. His reply "since they were only 15p each, that might not be a bad idea"!

So take note: when all else has fallen to bits in my life and I am destitute, you'll find me huddled in a doorway on Brick Lane, drinking whatever has replaced cider as the drink of choice and nibbling onion bhajis!
