Gradual recovery day
A bit of a sore head to begin with, which led to a rather long lie-on. I got my act together by 2.30 and went in to town to check out some accommodation possibilities for Tigraki, who's coming over to Dublin at the beginning of October. I took a leisurely walk back from Phoenix Park to the city centre to look at another place on the list and then walked on to Custom House Dock because of signs I'd seen around advertising the arrival of a replica Viking ship for Denmark, only to find that it doesn't get here until 12.30 pm on Tuesday.
While around the general river area, I thought i might as well do some more investigating, and continued on to Grand Canal Square, Dublin's latest public amenity. It's still under construction, but it's open to the public and is already very popular, judging from the constant stream of pedestrians who milled around it while I sat and nursed a G & T.
I walked back to O'Connelll Street, half thinking I might go to the cinema if there was anything decent on at a convenient time. There wasn't, so I came home instead, full of best intentions to update Blipfoto but failing miserably to do so until now (Tuesday morning -- catch-up starts here). The photo shows the Custom House reflected in the George's Quay office development across the river.
