Spring Snow
There will be a lot of images like these today. I'm not very original.
Just as we all thought winter 09/10 had given up as the clocks wound forwards, I emerged from an evening in Cameron Toll to gentle sleet. By the time I reached Riccarton it was definitely snow. Shortly after I took this shot (at a deserted Park-and-Ride bus stop) I lost interest in photography as I concentrated on getting home. As I write, my car is abandonned on the street near to our drive...
So, there will be plenty of people who need to re-evaluate the plans for tomorrow. Some more drastically than others (for me it determines the office to which I will travel for work tomorrow). For some, more vitally than others (I have friends out in the hills who will need to make judgements that will greatly affect their safety).
So as you head for the warmth and comfort of your bedsheets, be aware of how subject we all are to the things around us. And spare a thought (or a prayer, if you are so inclined) for all those who suffer more than ourselves as they become caught up in them.
