Out for Ice Cream!

We have a strangely wide open week. It's spring break for the schools, so even thought Tyler has preschool, all of the normal evening activities are not happening. AND, Josh has finished coaching basketball and this is his first week with no practice or games!

Alas, when he gets home in the evenings, we have normal family time. We eat dinner, we have time to play and even come up with some impromptu fun! Tonight, since the kids had both earned a trip for ice cream for attaining certain goals, we made an after dinner trip for vanilla ice cream cones!

We did have to cancel a much anticipated play date this afternoon in order to take Mia back to the doctor. We've been battling various ailments around here and are trying to get everyone on the road to health before our Easter road trip to Oregon on Friday!

On another note, we have been working on making an Easter Egg Pinata this week. On Monday, we blew up the balloon and put the first round of paper mache on. Today, after a night of drying, we added a second round of paper mache. Hopefully tomorrow, we'll be ready to decorate and fill the pinata for some Easter time fun!
