Ride, Sally Ride!

Ta Da! Report is DONE! Ben gave me all the details as I wrote down his words and then I typed them up. Word for word. I swear! He has a terrible time writing words down. His penmenship looks like it pains him to get it the words on the paper. With all his effort to write it, he looses his momentum of ideas pouring out of his brain. Luckily, the teacher has no problem with me occasionally writting for him on lengthy projects.

Anyway! Here's to Carol's challenge! I learned allllll about Dr. Sally Ride this week. I think her best contribution to society, aside from being the first woman and youngest person to go into space, is that she has created her own company called Sally Ride Science which encourages girls in elementary and middle school to explore careers in math, science and technology.


The continuing saga: Ben's rash was seen by a dermatologist today. She is as perplexed as his doctor. Thinks it's two different rashes! Poison Oak on the legs and arms and maybe atypical chicken pox on his belly. Either way, no school tomorrow! And his best friend also called to say he was just leaving his doctor's office with a Poison Oak rash! Is it possible for the rash to lay dormant until 11 days after the hike? Or did they touch items last weekend that they took hiking? Hmm....we may never know.
