Encierro dos Animales Pantamimos

A tradition in town is the annual Encierro dos Animales Pantamimos, a Lewes Arms version of the Bull Run in Pamplona.

As a precursor to the traditional Easter egg and spoon race, participants dressed in white outfits with red sashes, armed with nothing more that a rolled up newspaper, make the death-defying run along Castle Ditch Lane pursued by a herd of pantomime animals, including sheep, penguins, a dinosaur, rabbits, birds and assorted furry creatures, including this ferocious reindeer.
