High Street and backstreet

When I was wandering around looking for boring things to photograph I was struck by the contrast between the High Street faces of the shops and the back doors I was finding in the lanes around Rose Street. That would be a nice theme, I thought - the backside of Edinburgh.

So, after a special holiday dash to Edinburgh to grab this one, I'll need to see what else I can find for the rest of the week.

The rest of the day was filled with a trip to Linn Mill, inspired by Delph Wynd's recent journal entry. Had a nice walk around Gartmorn Dam nipping down the path to Linn Mill. Water levels are up since Delph Wynd's photo was taken.
