Pantai Meragang.. (pantai means Beach...)

The pics of the monkey i took a while ago were taken here. (23rd march).. but i thought id get a different perspective today..
This is the beach.. looking towards the south china sea..
the river inlet is to my right.. and a new turtle rescue place is being built to the left!

Its a beautiful beach.. for the most part.

sadly.. the beaches here are usually quite badly littered.. the locals blame the other islands.. but i think its just a learnt behaviour..
the people of Brunei Have to pay for their rubbish to be removed.. wages arent great here.. so some people throw rubbish into rivers and down banks of jungle areas.. and so.. the litter problem self perpetuates!
here at this beach theres a HUGE skip.. but the rubbish gets raided by the local Monkeys and dogs.. and ends up on the beach!

its a shame.. as the beaches here could actually be stunning! if it wasnt for the detritus!
