The desire for gold is not for gold...

The day started with some good news about my younger sister(cousin) Ena giving birth to a baby girl. Seems like yesterday when I was speaking with her last on her marriage. Due to reasons unknown our family has been struck with two tragedies. One nearly a year ago and another within 2 months from that. This good news has changed the family emotions for the better. Means very different for everyone, specifically for me....I love daughters(little more than sons), maybe because of the selfish fact that they are closer to their Dads. Ena means alot to me as a sister as she is my closest sisters. I really admire the positivity she bestows to the family. She has been always giving strength to everyone around her. Though being the youngest.

N & S another family has moved to our city. It is very intriguing to know them as they bring lots of different ideas and social baggage with them. They are finding it difficult to adjust to new settings and definitely would love to stay at a place rather than the concrete island they are at. It was their anniversary today and we made it a point to visit them in the evening. We almost as excited as V is most of the time. It seemed like we had changed characters, V was extremely shy when we reached. Within the time our excited plateaued, He was at his brat(in a cute way) self. He pushed his self-eating abilities to the limit, by having musk melon, apple juice and water in turns. Quite a handful for him and a pleasure to watch him try. The meeting was brief but brought us to a conclusion that we should meet more often, hopefully we will. N was as adamant about offering something to us, true to the Indian housewife that in the process she was lucky enough to break a glass(maybe for goodluck!).

We decided let the lovebirds(it was their 2nd anniversary) be and ventured on our way home, when Mrs. asked me if it is possible for us to go somewhere else but home. V started snoring in the seat by the time I buckled him. Looking at the opportunity we went all out to narrow down our options to good chinese at Aromas of China. By the time we reached the hotel, It was about time and V was up bright and sunny with his power restored. No wonder they are fully charged after their power naps. He had his share of Cold gherkins, Hakka Noodles and Chicken soup. The staff there were kind to make him even more comfortable. In lieu of that he gave back lots of noodles & curry to the table and the sofa.
