Unwanted visitors

Arrived home safely after a long journey, left the UK on Saturday morning and got home at midnight on Sunday, we did stay a night in France with our friend Jack and his lovely wife Kay.

This morning Lil, my next door neighbour, informed me that we had a swarm of bees in the garden. They arrived last Monday and settled themselves on one of the plant pots. Concerned, she went and spoke to our President about a course of action, he decided the best way was to waft a tea cloth at them in the hope that they would fly away, the only thing they did was get angry. The gardners solution was to throw a rag soaked in petrol at them. Eventually Lil spoke to Jose Ramon at our local town hall, and he phoned a guy who came out, pronounced that the swarm was too small to take away and promptly left. He did however, say that they would probably fly away of their own accord. Today they flew, but they returned and are now asleep on the patio.

Tomorrow, if they are still there the 'bee' man is getting a phone call to come and take them away.
