nz birds

We had a nice chilled morning recovering from all the driving of the last few days and after lunch headed out to Willowbank Wildlife Reserve to see some of the native NZ birds. This is a Kea, an alpine parrot. We would liked to have blipped the Kiwi's, which we saw in the nocturnal enclosure, but it was dark. I was very pleased to have seen them, there aren't many about. Last day in NZ tomorrow :(
