Gushets 9 & 10 - St George's Cross
Not far from the Glasgow Savings Bank Building sits another pair, at the junction of Great Western Road, Clarendon Road and St George's Road. On the left is Clarendon Place, built in the 1830s as the start of a scheme to create a grand circus at this junction. As with so many such schemes, it was never realised. It's intriguing how the ground floor shop extension is offset.
