Gushet 11 - Bridgeton Mansions
Ah, Bridgeton: that corner of Glasgow's foreign field that is forever...on the banks of the Boyne...every second building down a side street seems to be an Orange Lodge!
They're currently resurfacing the Cross pedestrianised area, so it's all cordoned off. As such, blipping this gushet was a bit tricky. Anyway, it dates from somewhere in the 19th century (presumably late, as it's red sandstone), and stands at the junction of Dalmarnock Road and Main Street.
This little project is great for getting me out and about on the bike at lunchtime, and is acquainting me with increasingly far-flung parts of the city.
