Winking!

I had just finished taking this and a few other photographs this evening and was crossing the road back to my hotel when two older ladies walking by smiled at me and asked why I was taking pictures. I told her I liked old buildings, particularly this one. "It's not *that* old, I went there as a girl and I'm only 73", she said, winking at me.
This is Drogheda's College of Further Education. It was built in 1936 and definitely has a Bauhaus feel to it. Originally designated Drogheda Technical College, it was designed by A.H. Byrne. It still has it's original metal window frames and stands out in the sunshine among the very many much older buildings surrounding it.
