A walk in the .. woods

Today I went for another walk before work - a big old jaunt in the Forest. It was awsome. Apart from two women, with their three dogs, I saw no-one else there. The deeper I got, the noisier it sounded with all the birds and woodpeckers. I found a couple of steep bits as I went from one trail to the next - scrambling up them and praying I wouldnt slide down (and thinking they'd be ace to go down on my mountain bike..). I also found a good spot on a log for a few mins and enjoyed just listening to all the noise.

On my way back, I decided to try for a short cut across a damp, grassy farmer's field - no Hugs to say I shouldnt do that! - but I was foiled by a great big long deer fence. So back across the field it was..

And it was still only 7 o'clock!
