Forest of Bowland

With petrol the price it is long weekend trips out are going to be rationed so we travelled into Centre of the British Isles, according to the ordnance survey, (and they should know ) at Dunsop Bridge which is about 20 miles from where we live. Did a 9 mile walk with lunch at Puddles Duck Cafe as a treat. The Forest of Bowland is'nt actually a forest as such but used to to be a Norman hunting forest. It is a great place to visit and walk off the beaten track best keep secret.
