Wheelbarrow of spring bulbs
A lot of fun today; we got up at stupid o'clock to do our BTO breeding bird survey walk, always one of my favourite days of the year. Walk a couple of transects of a 1 km square we are assigned, noting all the birds we see and hear...mostly herring gulls and pigeons, of course, being in Leith;) We did see a redstart a couple of years ago, though, quite a thrill!
In the afternoon, off to a friend's housewarming party, out in Lothian. A beautiful spot, and met her lovely wee daughter, who is cute as buttons, for the first time :)
This abandoned wheelbarrow full of tulips and grape hyacinths caught my eye in her garden.
