It's May next week?

Day three out in the Cairngorms.

This is Loch Avon. It's frozen. It is May next week.

Peter and I escaped up the side of a snow gully to the right, onto Cairngorm. This felt less frozen than the Loch looks. Still, the snow didn't avalanche, so all's good.

To make a good weekend into a great one, we managed to blag our way onto the funicular for free (for the descent), and I managed to hitch down from Coire Cas to Glenmore lodge to pick up the car. Sweet.
