RIP
After our hotel break last night we got back home to discover a death in the Seal family. Harry was floating upside down, with Lloyd in mourning at the bottom of the bowl.
Had a few teething troubles with the goldfish when they joined us last year. This one is (was) actually Harry #3. The first couple arrived from the garden centre with white spot and were dead within days. Then the next batch suffered the same fate, but with some investment in a filter and some fishy advice I don't think it's a bad effort that Harry #3 lasted so long. Not really sure what a good age is for a goldfish!
Was left with the bin, bury or flush dilemma. Flush was ruled out in case he made a reappearance from the U-bend and bury isn't really practical in our garden due to the over zealous digging employed by Scrap dog. So the only option was to wrap him up nicely and place him in the bin for collection on Monday. Apologies to anyone who didn't really want to see a dead fish, but they kinda get overlooked in the whole scheme of things and I thought this would at least ensure his memory lived on.
