Disharmony

This morning I do mind the gap. An article on the economy put Carl in a bad mood last night and the resulting political discussion and disagreement has left me in one this morning. Our upbringings couldn't be more different politically and whilst I think we are both nearer the centre than our parents sometimes a trigger can send us both back to the extremes. It's a complicated one. Had I married someone who completely shared my views then I would never have been challenged and made to really think why I think as I do. But then at times like this it feels like we have fundamentally different values and that feels hard to reconcile on some issues.

Oh, and it seems that political disharmony beats Fung Shui in the top trumps of influence on sleep patterns.

In work costume and off to Oxford. Looking forward to distraction of client meeting.
