Amidst the furore ...

Anyone who is watching, or has watched, the leadership debate will know by now that this took place at the University where I work. The whole week has been an education in the, frankly, ridiculous cost that this event must have entailed. It's great publicity for the University, but when you see how much the BBC must have spent on this ... well, it makes you want to tear up your TV licence.

Anyway, we weren't able to reveal anything before today so I couldn't post any photos of the prep, and now that we are allowed to, the security is so tight that I can't post anything interesting because of the restrictions.

So, here's a student on campus today amidst the tens of satellite vans, artics, police, cordons, barricades, SWOT team and yes, even snipers on the roofs. Apparently the student is part of a campaign to encourage people to use their votes, so all is good.

Oh - and in the background - our hydrogen fuel cell cars, developed at the University.
