Rattlesnake Grass, Briza maxima

We loaded up our backpacks again this morning and hiked from our camp in China Basin State Park to the nature trail along the estuary. Unlike yesterday, it was a beautiful, sunny day even if a bit windy and cool. There were lots of interesting display signs along the nature path and lots of wildflowers in bloom. Rattlesnake grass is very showy there right now.

We did a second hike after lunch without packs near Phoenix Lake on Mt. Tamalpais before heading home.

I had to backblip yesterday's photo since I was having a "wilderness" experience with no access to internet.
