The Gaudie

another of st andrews traditions, on the 30th of April students gather and there is a procession along the pier to celebrate a student from 1800 called John Honey who, having heard of a ship wreck took it upon himself to try and save some of the men. having saved five, he was left wounded but was hailed a hero.
having never worn my gown before i took this as an opportunity and dragged the sleepy physicist along with me.
and now, i have to get up in about 5 hours in order to take part in the other tradition known as the May Dip!
