Eye of newt and toe of frog

Day one of my wee visit to the west. Popped in to the Botanic Gardens at Benmore in Argyll and it's well worth a visit.

There's currently an exhibition of wooden furniture, some of which are for sale, so if you have a few grand to spare you can be the envy of your friends with a stunning dining table and a set of interesting chairs.

I had expected to see the renowned rhodies out but the cold winter has held everything up. However, nothing was going to stop this newt in its palm exploration.
