cherry blossom 3

We have this huge cherry tree in the middle of our backgreen and every year I love watching it bloom. It only lasts for about a week and then the green leaves take over, a heavy rainfall combined with stormy wind strews the blossom on the grass and then it's gone.

This is probably already the beginning of the end, more and more green leaves make an appearance in-between the white petals. I've blipped it twice today, once in the morning and once in the evening when the sun was setting, each time the light on the tree was great and it just glowed so white however my special filter (i.e. kitchen window that is looking for a clean) seemed to do something to the light and the blips didn't look like the real thing.

I've therefore used a bit of highlights/shadows here and there and quite like the result.

Another nice day with the 3 girls albeit a bit too cold to enjoy the sunshine in my friends garden but I made it there and back on the bus, folding the buggy twice, and getting the girls up and down the steps to the topdeck without losing my temper or getting too frazzled. (On way back home I had to ask a nice couple if they could help me carry S down the steps since A had fallen asleep and I could not carry them both.) Thank you whoever you are, you were a great help!
