Welcome to the machine...
After a Band 2 double service, went for a sleep on the couch. For some reason hadn't recovered well from the busy last 2 weeks without a day off.
Felt better when I woke up and went down to the "East Dunbartonshire Political Hustings".
Now I could go into a big discussion on A'Desk politics, but I'm sure you all know my opinions. The concept that anyone who actually wants to go into politics should be immediately disqualified from the job.
Anyhow, 2 hours of extremely bland answers just saying what you wanted to hear was the norm. I was threatening to give a running commentry on their performance from the AV gallery collective. It seemed to work for ITV.
Mr SNP was still stuck in the '70s with references to Scotland's Oil (so is he going to pay for the clean up in the Gulf of Mexico by a UK Oil Company?)...and seemed to be very keen to get the niggle in on LibDem. He also sat all night playing the chanter on his pen...obviously a true Scottish nationalist. I wonder what he was playing?
Mrs Labour was not particularly sharp.
Mr Conservative (the only one in a suit!) was a bit light-hearted and reasonably capable, knowing he didn't have a hope in hell of winning.
Miss LibDem was a pro, having a few years experience...she knew what to say (although do you believe her?)
Mr UKIP failed to show!
On that basis...I should vote UKIP, as he was the only one that didn't lie to me.
However...Mr SNP was the archetypal "Grumpy Old Man"...so it must be SNP for me (only kidding!).
Do you think I should stand next time and would you vote for me?
