Final dedicated B&W
I think I've done seven (a whole week) of b&w photos. I loved it about half way through and then began to dislike it a bit after I began to feel as if I'm squelching my creativity or something.
So my b&w photos will certainly be selective in the future. Maybe I'll do an HDR series once I figure how to really do it and not just a goof around in PS.
I had way too many favorites today. I chose this one because it is almost abstract. I looks a bit like smoke stacks from an industrial building to me. But it's pilings at the beach from the back of a small dune. I thought it had an eerie feeling.
Here are my other hopefuls for tonight:
My favorite that I would have used if I was doing color (see what I mean?)
Another one I thought really looked cool. Plus it has my two favorite people in it.
And the other b&w contender for the evening.
So in all this, I almost forgot to mention that we found an entirely new secret place. It's a place that I have never been to and that is absolutely secluded and more beautiful than I could have hoped for. Had the weather been a balmy 70 degrees (F), I would have thought we were in Hawaii again. The best part is that it is only a few miles from our house.
I have realized that boots...not dress shoes...are most appropriate while on blip adventures. The trail we found to the beach was a labyrinth of driftwood and 12 inch deep mud. My oldest thought he would clear a jump only to end up knee deep and nearly shoeless in a giant mud hole. Good times for sure.
