Tree Canopy
I've chosen tree pictures on two successive days because the trees are so spectacular at the moment, with the leaves showing such a range of colours. The leaves on some of the trees are so fragile and delicate, but not these!
I hope that this photograph gives some idea of the dappled sunlight inside the canopy of a grand old Horse Chestnut, whose "candles" are in full bloom just now. We'll have conkers all too soon, I'm afraid...
Here is a shot of the tree itself, situated in an old passage that passes (leads to!) the white building on the left, a popular old pub.
