Dreaming Spires from on High
After a suitably bibulous dinner to mark the end of a special lecture series, about a dozen of us were invited by the person hosting the dinner to go onto the roof of the Bell Tower of Trinity College, Oxford. This expedition is something of a tradition on such occasions. We are supposed NOT to cause the bells to be struck...
This is the view looking south (SSE), and those who know the place will recognise landmarks such as the Sheldonian Theatre, the Radcliffe Camera, and so on.
It was a still and clear evening, the sky almost dark at 21:15, and in my opinion the view was spectacular. I hope someone else enjoys the photograph.
That was a good way to spend the last part of election day!
