Back garden
This is the back garden of the unofficially dubbed Ammonite Towers, where I work, in the shadow of Lewes Castle, at the foot of the motte on which the fortress stands.
The garden is rather wild and overgrown, and the wedge-shaped plot disappears into a dark and mysterious grotto at the end. A tunnel into the castle? Perhaps. Probably not.
Our neighbour at the back was once, I am told, a morgue, but I can't vouch for that.
