"Crannog"

This is how some Scots lived many years ago, every time I see it I`m reminded of similar constructions in Africa, funny how people who live thousands of miles apart can make something very similar, our one ofcourse would need double glazing.. There can`t be many modern homes where you can catch your supper out the window.. To-day my Grandson was looking at pictures of the Moon landing, I said "They went there in a Rocket you know" he gave me a withering look and said "No Grandad they went in a Shuttlecock" he`s 4 and three quarters.. Ah well...
