Dive Dominican Republic

Today Cyclops and I did a couple of dives with Sea Pro Divers out of Sosua, Dominican Republic.

We enjoyed the dives and saw some pretty cool stuff including massive eels and some seahorses.

Gotta say though, I wouldn't recommend Sea Pro Divers at all. Their equipment was old and tatty and leaky, and their attitude to safety was, at best, casual. They didn't brief us, they took people beyond their qualification limits, and they were always agitating and scaring the marine life (e.g. getting a puffer fish to puff up, or getting an octupus to ink)

Nothing at all like any of the other centres we've dived with around the world, so very disappointing.

Not much to be done though, as they seem to have the monopoloy in this area. So, once we'd got used to them Cyclops and I decided we were fairly happy to proceed as we are confident and experienced enough to look after ourselves if necessarry.
