room with a view

I love this view from my livingroom window. As dusk moves into night time and the last of the sun dips behind the building, the sky takes on a blue that is somehow dense and vivid at the same time. The last licks of sunlight make the trees in front look like someone has cut them from a magazine and glued them on to create a frame.

We'll see this view whenever we have friends off on camping trips and we'll comment on what a perfect camping evening it is and sigh a little sigh of 'wish we were there'...letting our minds wander to the crackle of a campfire and the last sigh of wakefulness before a perfect fresh air sleep wraps us up in a comfortable embrace.

Lovely.

Camping season is upon us friends.....(if only it would warm up a little....)
