Happy Birthday Dad!

I thought I was diving today but found out on Thursday that I wasn't after all. So I booked a last minute flight to Stansted and joined the rest of my family to celebrate my Dad's 70th Birthday!

The whole clan were there - my sister and her daughter, my brother and his wife, my stepsister and her husband, daughter and son, my stepmum and of course, my Dad.

Things are always a bit crazy when the whole family get together and I think it has been 4 or 5 years since we have all been together like this for a family gathering!

My Dad and stepmum, Val, cooked a stupendous meal and the 11 of us just about fited around the dining room table to eat.

I adore my family. My Dad is an amazing man and has been a huge inspiration to me all my life. I still can't believe he's 70 - he certainly doesn't act it!

I headed back home on the last Edinburgh flight from Stansted, a very happy bunny and looking forward to a week of diving!
