Scraping the pot

This is a regular scene in Áras Kate, when the multitudes have been fed: a little crowd gathers to help Jen to the do the clean up. They are obviously school refusers or maybe have been sent home for not having a uniform or some other rediculuous reason like exam fees or charges which the schools will tell you don't exist.
The clean up begins with every one having a go at the pot to extract every little bit. It's sad but true. Sometimes old people come as well for a plate of porridge.
It's a hard place and a tough life.
