Red-flowered Cowslip

Today we have a day off here in Sweden and after breakfast I picked some flowers.

I became happy when I saw a lot of cowslip, yellow-flowered, in the garden but also a few red-flowered. In our garden we have a lot of yellow-flowered but only a few red-flowered.

In former times people used the flowers to give colour to aquavit and it's also possible to make wine from the flowers.

In parts of Sweden the Cowslip is a protected flower.

I think they look nice on a photo.
