Shine a light

Had to go to a sort of open conference thingy at the RASMD . It was interesting. It always amazes me that when people are put into wee groups you will always get the dominant conversation hogger, the quiet diminutive one , the listener and the the interuptor. A right mixture of people then mix them all together with a bunch of pretentious arty types and you will get the picture.

With me was the usual suspects, the cynic, the sceptic, the depressive the cleeky type and the sacrastic types and the ones that were genuinely interested.

Before that I nipped into the church to light a candle (blip) in the vain hope that the big guy is listening. In reality I just like the quiet of an empty church and can get peace to enjoy the lovely architecture and admire the beautiful stained glass.

Still in the big smoke but home alone, son working, eldest daughter at her pals, just me the telly, the fire and my trusty laptop. I'm not one that likes their own company, I like people about me even if they don't talk, just their presence I find comforting. Hubby on the other hand doesn't mind his own company but then he was a bachelor for a long time!
