Cleveland
My youth ministry embarked on a journey to Cleveland, where we watched the Indians vs. Tigers baseball game and the Newsboys concert afterward.
The weather here in the Midwest is nothing less than bipolar. It would rain for five minutes, stop, stay gloomy with heavy winds for ten minutes, then brighten up for seven minutes of sunshine. Then the cycle would start all over again. And again...and again.
Nonetheless, I thank Cabrera for his two-run single in the seventh inning, otherwise we wouldn't have won 6-4. :) Yay Miguel!
We left the game early to head over to the Quicken Loans Arena to watch the Newsboys. I was basically in love with all the posters that showed off the Cavaliers' place in the 2010 NBA Playoffs, and fully fascinated by King James' blowups. Ahh he's so epic.
The concert was overall fun. Newsboys opened up with their version of "I Gotta Feeling," words of introduction, one more song, and then testimonials from two Indians players. It's always nice to hear what God has been doing in the lives of well-known people.
Newsboys is just SO GOOD. Their music, their tone, their movement; Everything was right on.
I'll also add how much fatsie food I ate that day. In the morning before arriving at the church, my dad and I stopped by McDonalds for breakfast. We ordered the sausage biscuit. For lunch, all of us ate at Wendy's, then for dinner, we had Kentucky Fried Chicken. We're a healthy bunch. :)
It was a good day, especially being the day after my one AP exam and driving home to a beautiful sunset.
Praise God. :) <3
