We Went All the Way

Today was our Forensics team banquet. Everyone was dressed up and excited to be with one another again, just us Forensicators.

The banquet hall was pretty as always, the food was delicious, and our paper plate awards from the captains, simply said, stunk.

On another hand, our coaches always give quality spiels. During their speeches, two of three of our coaches turned out tearing up, while our head coach kept her poise. They were sentimental moments.

After a long list of thank yous and appreciation, there were honorable mentions, then finally, the announcement of next year's captains! That got me pumped up for next season, because I know the captains will make it nothing less than memorable.

Remember this Blip? That midmost large trophy is my team's once again. Beautiful, ain't it?

Overall, I'm so blessed to be part of a team who won State Championships. We worked so, so hard, and as the coaches told us, it clearly paid off. It's been an amazing ride. And though I am completely ready to take a break from Forensics, I'm looking forward to next year, another year of early-morning bus rides, practice, effort, fun, hugs, laughter, and most importantly -- the building of friendships. :)
