Squier Stratocaster

Have a lend of a Squier Strat as a potential purchase. It passed the first hurdle, namely I got it out and Jenneither tutted or rolled her eyes but expressed interest which quickly waned when I clarified it's not technically a Fender Stratocaster despite saying Fender on the headstock. It plays really nice but I have to work out how much to offer for it as the ball is firmly in my court in that respect and the seller will not even offer up a ballpark figure (it's not like it's a rarity or anything so it seems a bit daft).

We also listened to Al Di MEola, Paco Lucia and John McLaughlin's Saturday Night in San Francisco and after some time determined that the Thomas McRocklin Jen used to hang around with whose father's name was John, may in fact be the aforementioned John McLaughlin's son, solid information was not forthcoming but Jen is sure she recognises John from the back of the album cover, small world...

Cracking headache all day, I blame it on 8 hours of IE6 fixes on a current project, when will it go away foreever!
