Old Cramond Brig

This historic bridge was first constructed c1500 but has been rebuilt and repaired many times since then. It crosses the River Almond at the end of Braepark Road, near Cramond. I enjoyed admiring all the many lovely houses mansions castles we passed on the cycle down there and decided I should be setting my aspirations that little bit higher for a potential housemove to the district of Cramond.

Carry on over the old brig and you end-up cycling along the A90 towards South Queensferry and the Forth Road and Rail Bridges. Not tonight, though. Quick pit-stop for some shots and then cycled back home again. In training for a sponsored cycle this Sunday, you see....
