Through the Waves Leap, Soft Shall Ye Sleep
We went Geocaching again to me, my husband and I. Didn't find it. Know exactly where it is, but could we find it Nope.
So we left the spot, and headed to the harbour and caught the fishing boats just coming in. I like this shot: the seagulls chasing the gutting, the boys on the boat working the catch, the seal in the foreground (did you spot him), the fork lifts at the back helping to unload. It was a nice night.
Recently I have been reading about a Fishing Boat which was lost at sea, and the detail of the story of the boat, and the existance of the people on the boat gave me a whole new admiration for the way these people live.
The boats, are cramped, fitted out to make the fishing as economical as possible - the least room possible for the crew and the most room for stowing fish, nets and equipment. The conditions they sail in are horrendous.
In the harbour, we see the easy bit, coming home. Getting home is a whole other story.
