Psalm 23
Even when the way goes through
Death Valley,
I'm not afraid
when you walk at my side.
Today we got up nice and early in our motel room in Pahrump! Although it was a great night's sleep as we both made it through till 0630 before waking. We had a quick free b'fast at the hotel before heading out in the car to Death Valley.
The road was amazing, and straight for miles at a time. Definitely BIG COUNTRY! And I was blipping like mad. First stop was at the entrance to the National Park to take in the view and some blips. Hubby was making good use of his Gorilla Pod to take blips of us both. Then next was a walk at a Zabriskie Point. Next it was off round to the lowest point in the contiguous (what's that mean???) USA. 282 feet below sea level. We walked out onto the salt lake there, but when we got back to the car the bear insisted on having his blip taken!
Next it was off to the visitor centre before heading round to Dante's View up at 5000 ft above sea level and looking down at the Valley. Just awesome, although the haze made the blips not so good.
Finally we headed back to catch a night on the outskirts of Vegas where we have a great room for just $42.
Room booked south tomorrow. See you tomorrow!
