Air Your Laundry

Dirty laundry!

While on a walk this morning, I saw that the Woman's Auxiliary Club is having an Italian fund raiser tonight for the historical museums in our little town. The clothes hanging are part of the decore. Colorful and clever, I sure it will look great tonight, as they are hanging from the lighting. I went black and white, as it reminds me of growing up.

We just don't see clothes hanging from the line anymore. Growing up, we didn't have a dryer until I was in 2nd grade, when my mom won a stackable washer and dryer from the tv show, Let's Make A Deal with Monte Hall. It was great that she was chosen...I remember her shaking and laughing. Too bad we didn't have video back then. My dad recorded the audio, only, on reel to reel. (I know, I am old) I got out of school to watch the show air. That was a fun memory. But back to the clothes line...I remember playing between the clothes as a little kid. My Grandma hung the clothes for years. We hang a lot of our clothes, but in the garage, my husband hung a closet pole over the dryer, and it gets used constantly, not only preserving the integrity of the fabric, but keeps the clothes from fading in the sun. We don't see this sight too often, so I thought I would record it, as a memory.

Tonight should be interesting...I doubt I will hear any dirty laundry at the reunion, unless someone is 'dishing' about someone else!

Air Your OWN laundry or zip it!!! ;]
