Marathon

About 13,500 runners passed us as we headed up to the allotment this morning. The Edinburgh Marathon started in quite overcast, cool weather, but the sun was blazing again before most people would have finished.
I only hope that they managed to get enough water onto the course this year...

There is always something moving about seeing the determination and dedication of this great mass of humanity pounding past. We applauded till our hands were sore, then up to a marathon session of slightly more gentle exercise, weeding and watering....
