The web

Went to the Bluebell woods today. The Bluebells are past their bloom and fading. I saw patches of Bluebells under the trees that had been flattened - I wonder if deer had spent the night there? I liked this rather elaborate web amongst the fading blooms.

The bumblebees are still happy though as the Dead Nettles are still looking very perky - I saw Bombus Bohemicus, Bombus Terrestris, Bombus Pascuorum queens and little Bombus pratorum worker bees all getting their heads dusted by the bright yellow pollen (click here).
