In the midst of life there is death...

I went out today with the intention of photographing Alnwick Castle (maybe better known to some of you as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films!) and I did get a couple of decent shots, then I decided to look around a nearby churchyard before heading home. Whilst wandering around I found a bird, lying amongst the gravestones, I think it had died quite recently... it looked so beautiful and at the same time sad lying there in the lush green grass. I couldn't resist photographing it.
