Lawn mower man

Years ago Brome decided he was going to collect lawn mowers. I didn't ask why.

His collection rapidly grew to two, one of which has now gone the way of eBay. As our electric mower has died, Brome's prize exhibit was retrieved from the shed and finally saw the light of day and a blade of grass (it wasn't up to much more than that).

This interest in lawn mowers is a little curious as I remember astounding the rest of my school quiz team once by correctly answering the question, "Who invented the lawn mower?" Why would I know that?
